《 女王的教室》 ：為什麼要讀書？

學生問：「我們為什麼要讀書呢？之前老師說過吧，不管怎麼學習就算進了好的大學、好的公司也沒有任何意義。那麼，我們為什麼非要讀書不可呢？」
「你們給我好好覺醒吧。還不明白嗎？讀書，不是非做不可的事。而是想要去做的事。今後你們可能會碰到很多很多你們不知道的不能理解的事。也會碰到很多你們 覺得美好的、開心的、不可思議的事物。這時候做為一個人自然的想瞭解更多，學習更多。失去好奇心和求知欲的人，不能稱為人，連畜生都不如。連自己生存的這 個世界都不想理解。還能做什麼呢？不論如何學習，只要人活著。就有很多不懂的東西。這個世界上有很多大人好像什麼都懂的樣子，那都是騙人的。進了大學也 好，進了好公司也好。如果有活到老學到老的想法那就有無限的可能性。失去好奇心的那一瞬間，人就死了。讀書不是為了考試，而是為了成為出色的大人。 」
學生問：「老師為什麼要對我們那麼嚴厲呢？為什麼老是做些欺負我們的事呢？」
「你們能想像嗎？這個世界上還有很多事情，比我對你們做的更加過份。人只要活著，就永遠有『欺負』這個詞。為什麼？因為人就是一種能在欺負弱小中獲 得快感的動物。能和壞人、強者對著幹的人，只有在電視劇或者漫畫中才能看到。現實生活中幾乎沒有。重要的是，將來自已碰到這種被欺負的事，你們能掌握對應 的忍耐力和解決方法。你們中間也許有人已經掌握了這種方法也說不定。」

 

學生問：「老師身上的傷痕是怎樣得來的？」
「因為那孩子對我這樣說：為什麼不能殺人？這個孩子腦子又好體育又好，身材也非常高大，班裏的人都非常怕他。事實上他盯上的同學，都一個個被他欺負過。還 有人因此自殺未遂。但他毫不反省，這麼說了。為什麼，不能殺人。他知道這個問題問出來的話，大人們也無法回答他。所以我回答了他，讓他知道了別人的痛楚， 大家都是和自己一樣活生生的人，不管是誰，都有你所不知道的了不起的人生。每個人都擁有的家庭、愛、夢想、希望、回憶、友情、任何人都沒有權利剝奪。反而 言之，誰都沒有權力給予他人苦難、痛楚、悲傷，所以不能殺人。你們也有可能犯錯，所以希望你們銘記在心，犯了罪的人一定會被捕，就算能逃出升天，一輩子也會活在負罪感中。被周圍的人冷落，到死也是孤單一人。已經沒有一件值得開心的事了，永遠都不可能得到幸福。」
